BALLOON FEST PHILIPPINES

It's a windy day to celebrate Valentine's Day with Hot air balloons!
My sister brought 7 tickets for the Balloon Fest 2016 which held in Clarkfield, Clark Pampanga. It was supposed to be my Daddy, Mommy, Sister with her boyfriend (Ronnel), Relix, Me and my boyfriend JV but unfortunately his Grandmother passed away a day before the event that's why he wasn't able to join us.
Woke up at around 4:00AM, left the house at 5:00AM and reached the field at 6:00AM which is the exact time of the opening ceremony. We brought food but since outside foods are not allowed, we opted to eat our breakfast before entering the main gate.
A WEEKEND OF EVERYTHING THAT FLIES
So, what to expect, of course lots of hot air balloons in the sky. And because it's our first time, we were so amazed on how huge those balloons are. Quite surprise with the creativeness of each contestants from other countries who joined this festivity. Witnessing those huge balloons flying up up and away 'til it became small in our sight is an incredible experience. But I really hope that one day I'll get the chance to ride in one of these balloons. (bucketlist)
Aside from hot air balloons, the festival has lots of activities to offer. There goes the Military exhibit which introduces the different gears that they use in action, different uniforms of our local arm force, jet and huge planes, and so on. A bunch of souvenir shops selling small replica of hot air balloons and those are just so cute!
We lay in the grass. Dad took a very quick nap while we're watching the twin paraglider's exhibitions.
It's almost 11:00AM. The sun is so up. Heat became exhausting. We decided not to finish the event and headed back home.
This is just a simple festivity but one of events in life that we should witness once in a while. A family activity that is worth the time and effort. Worth the escape from works. And worth bonding for.
So may I rephrase my first sentence:
It was windy day to bond on a Valentine's Day with family over Hot air balloons!
